The Vince Review

I had been on the hunt for casual shoes.  I wanted something stylish, and comfortable, but I was NOT looking for athletic shoes, slippers or boots. That doesn't leave a whole lot to work with! The hunt came to an end when I came across these! Halleluiah - with sunbeams streaming down from on high!

Vince Robin Reptile Embossed Espadrille Flat

First, the Vince Robin Reptile Embossed Espadrille Flat. They are just as detailed as the name- from the burlap stitching at the sole to the textured leather on the vamp. They are lightweight and the white and grey reptile pattern match almost any outfit. I wear these shoes almost everyday because they are perfect slip-ons to go out and run errands.

Vince Warner Zip-Front Platform Sneaker

These Vince sneakers have a simple structure with a fun surprise- a platform sole! I love wearing them because not only are they comfortable, but they also make my 5'2" self feel a little taller (5'3.5"). The outside is nubuck and the inside is smooth leather. These shoes go with almost any casual outfit! They've become a wardrobe staple... I have worn them for many outings like grabbing a bite to eat with friends and shopping! They run a little big so while I normally wear a size 7, these are a size 6.5. One caveat - I had to wear them twice to break them in.  The top edge rubbed against the top of my foot at first, but now that they have a few miles on them, they feel really comfortable.

Both of these shoes are great and I would recommend both of them! They are a little pricy, but the high quality structure and the sturdy materials leave me assured that they will be in my closet for a very long time! I wear socks with any shoe that allows it- for these Vince shoes, only the "no show" socks work.
